Redemptive Revenge
Review by Chris Szepessy, Windcheck Magazine
In Greg Gilmartin’s first novel, Crew, sailor PJ McDonough and his shipmates tangled with a ruthless South American drug lord named Carlos Quintaro. PJ and his crew ultimately destroyed Quintaro’s enterprise in the mountains of Columbia, and a final showdown seemingly sent the bad guy to his doom. But Quintaro has survived, he’s created a new drug, and with vengeance in his heart he’s brought the fight to Fishers Island Sound to expand his empire and avenge PJ’s crew.
In this exciting sequel, set during the Flying Foiling 50s Grand Prix regatta in New London and later on Block Island, PJ, Stoney, Lenny, Mickey, Dave and Kathryn find themselves in another fight for their lives as they seek their own redemption for the murder of a teammate. Like Gilmartin’s other books including Spy Island, Can’t Sail in Jail and Castle Fires, Redemptive Revenge (with menacing artwork by Courtney Moore at CMB Creative gracing the cover) is a first-rate thriller and highly recommended.
